I am most pleased to learn of your interest in the Pharmacology Graduate Program at the University of Minnesota. I welcome your inquiry and this opportunity to tell you about our program.
Our department has a long-standing tradition of excellence in graduate education. In fact, one of our graduates won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Minnesota graduates have key roles in major universities, government agencies, and in private industry here and abroad. Today we continue this tradition and commitment to excellence.
The basic goal of our graduate program is to create an environment in which our students have quality support facilities, intellectual guidance, and the freedom to fully develop their potential. Faculty members are committed to ensuring that our program is intensive, intellectually stimulating, and personally rewarding. Students have the opportunity to participate in fascinating research problems in modern pharmacology and drug therapy using state-of-the-art technologies. We believe these experiences are the ingredients for fully preparing our students as future independent scientists.
